Over the past year Michel Gondry released interesting projects focused on two of our favorite cities. First a contribution to the three part film Tokyo! And now this awesome time-lapse piece set in Brooklyn for Dick Annegarn’s Soleil du Soir video. While the video doesn’t go overboard selling the city, it does capture the subtleties. The city’s lively movements come to life at overwhelming speeds while the short captures the slow paced movements of its subject.
Sydney-based film makers Jason van Genderen (director), Shane Emmett (producer), and John Roy (music composer) created an amazing short that just won $20,000 and Best Film at Tropfest NY 2008. Brillant!
Beautiful sunny morning. Some ****s had taken all the life rings out and thrown them on the beach. Bruce Irons won the Ripcurl Pro in indo. Some dude was camping under the pier. I took some holdaroids.
